Customer Reviews about Bill Farris State Farm®:

I hate to say that my girlfriend and I had an extremely poor experience at this location. We worked with their representative Brandy. My girlfriend has had her insurance through this office for almost the last decade. They know her so well that she was greeted by name by multiple reps as soon as we walked in the door. Now to the story. About four months ago my girlfriend changed her banking information with State Farm and dropped by the office to give them the new account info. This seemingly went smoothly and without problems because they then proceeded to take the automatic payments out of our account for the next two months. Well, you can imagine our surprise when we get a letter a couple of days ago saying her license had been suspended for not having insurance. Obviously confused, we called up to office and they told us that it has been suspended for non payment. We immediately dug through our last couple of months of mail and found out that we had completely missed the notices that they weren't receiving payment. This was our fault and we knew it so we hopped in the car to ride down to the office to see if we could fix our mistake. Like I said earlier, We received a fantastic welcome as we walked in the door. I was really impressed that they remembered her name and greeted her with gusto. This all changed, however, as we stepped into Brandy's office. Brandy immediately started making us aware that this was solely our fault and that there wasn't much she could do to help. We told her we knew that we had made a mistake in not opening the mail( by the way, the envelopes they send the notices in look exactly the same as the envelope they send the automatic draft receipt in) and we were hoping that she could help us keep the rates as low as possible. I was curious, however, as to why the automatic payments stopped. When I asked as to the reason, she had to call head office to find out. Head office informed her and us that the correct paperwork had never been filed. Since Brandy was the representative who originally helped my girlfriend change the automatic draft info, I asked her why the correct paperwork had never been filed. She immediately became flustered and began repeating herself that this was our fault for not opening our mail. When pressed on the point, she admitted that she may have forgotten to have my girlfriend sign that paperwork because it was around that time State Farm had changed several policies regarding that kind of paperwork. At this point, it seemed to me(and any other rational person) that two mistakes had been made. Brandy not filing the correct paperwork(She admitted to this) and our mistake of not opening our mail. Since we had established that both parties were to blame, I asked her again for help in keeping the car insurance rates low as possible. I was quickly informed once again that the mistake was all ours and that there was nothing she could do to help us. I grew quickly frustrated with her calling us pet names like, "hun and sweetheart" and generally condescending tone to her voice. Since it became obvious that she had no desire to help and simply had an take it or leave it attitude, we decided to take our business else where. Right down the Street from this location(LESS THAN THREE MILES) we went to the LB Yates State Farm Office. They were more than understanding to the mistake we made and helped us reopen our account and even went to bat for us with the underwriters and helped us get a better deal than what Brandy was offering at the Bill Farris location. Moral of this Story: I won't speak for all of Bill Farris's office but the rep Brandy has a long way to go before she is even adequate at customer service. She is completely without empathy for her customers and I would advise you to work with someone else. Maybe go down to LB Yates location, they treated us like family and will continue to enjoy our business for a long time.
